Even before the first SUA attributed accident someone in the mosterosports club already commented the not so normal placement and heights of the pedals. I recall also someone commented that is so to give the ms a sporty driving feel. Which makes the ms not so driver friendly especially to those who are use to drive manual tranny and to the old folks.

December 30th, 2017 04:55 PM #3924Not all old folk are not suited for ms. My father (76) is everyday driver of our ms 3rd gen and there is no problem at all. Even coming in and out of our long narrow garage. The key point here maybe using more advance or brand new car must be a responsible driver imo.[emoji53]

December 30th, 2017 08:53 PM #3925It's the step height/elevation that matters.
Stock cars usually have large difference in pedal height between brake and gas for safety. Di mo basta maslide paa mo on gas/brake, vice versa.
On race cars, we tend to adjust it on how comfortable we are during racing, specifically heel and toe braking. Usually almost level or tiny difference na lang ang gas and brake is what I usually see. They do it on different ways, cheap is by adjusting the brake pedal or putting pedal covers like found on blade/concorde to adjust height and distance.
Or if you have moolah, some racers put these:
Height/distance/angle and pressure/feel adjustable.
PE Pedal Box
All cars brake pedal height can be adjusted naman, it's not as easy as adjusting your seat though, but you can DIY it or the dealer can do it for you at an extra charge.

Edit:
For AT cars, obviously you cant heel and toe pero most discussion I heard is that they like the brake pedal and gas pedal almost level para di hirap ung paa/ankle. This is true if you only use your right foot to apply both gas and brake pedal.
Para di raw pagod iaangat yung paa switching to brake pedal from gas pedal, especially in stop and go trapik, etc.. So yeah, pros and cons lang din. Safety vs convenience.

January 25th, 2018 09:55 PM #3927i haven't heard of any acquaintance who changed his mind and bought something else.
in fact, one bought a monty. when i asked why he bought the so-called "SUA vehicle", he said, "marunong akong mag-maneho ng AT".
the guy still drives it regularly, and he hasn't SUA-ed yet.
heh heh.
