Hello po, bago pa po ako dito. May binili akong lancer 96 in good condition pa, pero normal po ba yung steering wheel na mahirap paikutin if naka steady lang yung sasakyan? but if the car is moving na kahit mabagal lang, madali lang ito paikutin. Is there power steering in this car or wala? Oh baka sira lang yung power steering niya. Thank you!

yes and no.
the lancer of that era came with pawis steering or with power steering, depending on the variant.
based on your story, your car probably does not have power steering.
motortrend is right. look for it, po, if you have one. in those days kasi, most PS were hydraulic and had PS fluid.
google if you do not know what it looks like.

Ohhh, Same pala kami sa classmate mo noon, 1.3L rin po yung lancer ko, and yes na confirm ko na po na wala talaga itong power steering.

Pwede. Tanong lang is kung may parts pa. My father-in-law had it done a long time ago sa 1993 EL nya.

I also had a 1995 GLXi. Got it 2nd-hand 2004 and traded it in 2011. Dami issues for a 10-year-old car but I learned a lot.

may technique naman iyan para gumaan ang manibela habang nagmamaniobra.

paandarin mo ng sobrang bagal ang sasakyan habang steer ng steering wheel sa desired direction. that way mag lighten ang resistance sa front wheels mo and therefore, gagaan ang manibela.

back in the day, when needed, i would look for and prefer mazda parts for my kia besta.
... lumambot ang clutch pedal ni besta, when i had installed mazda clutch assembly.

i wonder,
there are ads for electric power steering conversions... on the surface, it would seem an easier conversion than hydraulic PS...
are these available for the lancer, and do they work as advertised?
