thanks for the info. Mine is 3.2 GLS SE. its about 10k odo.
What i notice though is when the the transmission is in auto, the transition from 1st gear to 2nd gera from stop position is a bit dragging...
iS this normal?

sir xto is right sir better to recheck the unit sa casa for issues you got, mine 3.2 GLS dont have that gear problem so far only the rusty parts he he

Hello,

I own a ms GLS SE bought last month, i notice that upon riding the montero, when you press the brake half way there is a screeching sound on the brakes.

My montero is only 300 kms but after 2 to 3 sounds it disappears only on first use after you ride it. It is very annoying. It gets me irritated everyday to hear this sound from the brakes considering my mileage is less than 300 kms.

Also my wiper blade is so noisy it vibrates all the time, i have to put rain x on the glass because it is really sticky, is this defective?

Do you guys experience this also.

Regaring the noise sa brakes, baka marumi lang po yung brakepads or something. Nalubog po ba kayo sa baha recently?

As for the wiper, napag usapan din po yan previously (either on this thread or the main Montero Sport thread). Some owners have said that this "garalgal" effect only happens in the early part of the wiper blade's life, and will disappear as you use the wiper more. Other owners have decided to replace their wipers altogether, which eventually eliminated the sound.

I belong to the second group. Had my wipers changed to the banana-type ones. No more noise when using my wipers.

Thanks for your reply. Sound occurs whenever i ride my monty. so it sounds in the morning for 2 to 3 times and when i go back home 2 to 3 times as well. Irritating kasi 1 month old pa lang. And sound disappears din after 3 times No, hindi po siya nabaha.

I was thinking of changing my wipers din nga pero nakakainis lng to think it is still brand new and medyo nagsisi nga ako kasi i also own a fortuner which is trouble free for me.

Actually B1 lang ang biodiesel dito sa atin (1%) (by law). It's actually funny I even asked kung may good effect pa ba yun since 1% is too insignificant.

share ko lang...

naisipan ko pacheck wheel alignment and camber ng MS ko lastweek sa pitstop before ko palitan ng mags... guess what?! wala sa ayos ang alignment at camber ang front right wheel kaya pala may kabig sa kanan (sabi sakin ng casa during 1K PMS hindi lang tama air pressure ng goma kaya kumakabig)

hay... casa talaga lahat na lng... hehehe

bro easyman, mukhang tayong dalawa lang ang minalas sa unit natin ah hehehe

issues ng MS ko:
- idling problem
- dragging sa 1st to 2nd gear when in "D"
- dragging when braking from 10kph - 0kph
- jerking problem 2nd gear to 1st gear pag paakyat ng carpark
- wheel alignment and camber
- bubbles sa reflector ng left foglight... parang kumulo sa init (replaced)

Wala naman talaga perfect production process so there would be a percentage ng mga below QA na lalabas sa facility.

What you need in this situation is a good dealership. It's how they take care of problems that will arise that matters.
