In fairness to Zenix, mas malaki din engine nya compare to Xpander so tama lang price nya.
Competition is the CRV, Tucson which is I think mas maraming sales si Zenix compare to these two crossovers (correct me if Im wrong).
Bihira lang ako makakita sa daan ng new CRV, Tucson compare to this year's Zenix.
They need to up their game on Avanza/Veloz which is the direct competitor of Xpander.

Zenix is not the competitior of CRV and Tucson. Hindi din competitor ni Zenix ang Xpander nga, Avanza and to some extent Veloz kalaban ni Xpander.

What I mean that Zenix overpriced itself is in catering to the 7seater MPV market, too upmarket na pricing niya.

yup. presently using the Zenix Hybrid as a daily driver... way better, bigger and more refined compared to the 2nd Gen Innova.

Hard to compare the new CR-V with the Zenix. Hybrid CR-V has all wheel drive and 5 seater lang. I find it too cramped din (was asking the wife to consider the Rav-4 and the CR-V din pero she really liked the Zenix)

naalala ko lang nung tumitingin kami ng CRV sa Honda during our City's PMS... Kahit yung mga taga-Honda thinks that the hybrid version is too expensive

yup, i would rather buy the 2.4 G AT Fort against the Zenix which is cheaper by around P100k. ang lamang lang para sa akin ni Zenix ay hindi na sya kasama sa coding at mas powerful ang makina. malamang karamihan ng buyer ay yan ang rason.

there's very little supply...

we needed a very strong contact inside to skip the queue to get our unit. even with the "contact" - we were not allowed to get our unit in cash.

same with the Altis Hybrid, Fortuner GR-S and Hilux GR-S - very few units are available

Yaris Cross Hybrid has a over supply as they didn't expect the Kicks price cut

You underestimated how Mitsubishi undercut competitor in terms of pricing.
If timed right, you can avail 6 digit discount amount from SRP sa mga Xpander nila.
Kaya siguro marami pa rin bumibili lalo na if marinig ng buyer yung discount offers plus freebies na inooffer nila.
You just have to wait at least 1yr+ from the time the yr model unit is release though.
