Hmm, never noticed the engine difference. Maybe the Mitsu's engine is more "unrefined" due to the turbo lag? (hangang ngayon problem parin nila yan eh). Dynomat lang katapat niyan
I doubt the steering can be remedied. The best thing you can do is to improve your grip on the wheel so turning using one hand is, at least, possible.

I absolutely hate over light power steering too. It makes for boring driving with no sense of feel and reminds me of the earlier agricultural tractors.
You stated the MS ride was better than the Fortuner, but you never mentioned how bad he actual engine in the Fort was. I too drove the non-vgt 4x2 MS and 2.5 4x2 Fortuner on the same day late last year. I could not beleive how bad the Toyota performed. I went in with open mind as the Fortuner is not sold where I come from, (nor is the current MS atm for that matter). I was expecting the Fortuner to outshine the MS, but it felt like a 90s vehicle in lots of ways.
I did not even want to try the ford because I hate the look of it.

I don't mind the 28's as long as the driver will let other vehicles pass when on bad roads. Dami kasi sa amin (mostly students) driving on bling rims tapos traffic jam pagdating sa mga bad parts ng road kasi iwas galos sa rim. hehe. Sa looks it's subjective. Some like it, some don't.
I'm happy riding on my 16's. :D

According to my neighbor (he got a white GLS-V just 2 days ago), nandoon pa daw turbo lag. But it's less noticeable daw.
Hehe, what's with the double posting?

All turbo diesels have some lag. Compared to other older models it is less noticable.
I think the reason the Fortuner does not feel like it has much lag is because of it's small turbo. In other words it may have 90hp without and 103 with it spinning. Like from very very slow, to very slow.
As expected, in response to Tesla’s entry into the Philippines market, Ford will be bringing in the...
