tingin niyo mga sir may VGT ang GLX?gusto ko kasi manual basta high powered ang engine. sa february 15 pa kasi dadating ang kalahati ng pang down ko tapos isasama ko pa dun yung pinagbentahan ng revo ko.

According to the PD Inquirer, the A/T Monteros will get the engine upgrade.

I think they are trying to keep the price of the M/T as low as possible.

Just like the M/T Fortuner, they removed the leather seats to make the price competitive.

Sir Expatio, do you think the AT variant is as durable as the MT variant just as far as the transmission is concerned?

Navara's 403 Nm torque peaks at 2000 rpm and that's it. Mitsubishi's 2.5 VGT engine will peak from 1800 to 3500 rpm.

A Mitsubishi executive did mention in one of the local newspapers that only the Montero Sport AT line will have new engines this year.

The top of the line 4X4 3.2 GLS SE Montero will be replaced by a new variant.
The new top of the line variant will now be introduced as the 2.5 " GT-V " 4x4 with VGT..

New exterior features exclusively for the GT-V variant includes an OEM honeycomb grille with GT-V emblem & a rear spoiler ..

All A/T variants (GT-V 4x4 & GLS 4x2) will have VGT, M/T variants will still use the 2.5 engine without VGT
