Keep it short and direct to the point. Whenever I gave a presentation, I dispensed with unnecessary fluff. No fancy transitions. No videos unless required. I want the audience to focus on the slides themselves. If not, then their attention better be on me.

The hardest part is when or if the audience start asking questions because many of the answers are not on the slides. In my case, it's easier with weather because I bring my supporting material with me. In your case, you have to pick the brains of your superiors and know what they're thinking and their reasoning.
