I think most here is a bit shocked that someone would seemingly without intention spend over 10k for lunch.
then ask you about buying a second hand BMW.
someone with enough moolah to spend over 10k for lunch without intent usually doesn't buy 2nd hand BMW.
brand new BMW or MB or Lexus usually binibili niyan. This is basing it on ones personal income.
Someone who buys a 2nd hand bmw is frugal since BMW cars have high depreciation so buying a 2nd hand one is quite a bargain.
So spending over 10K for lunch and treating you to Tagaytay eateries (Antonios i guess) isn't in his usual bargain spending habit unless there is an ulterior motive in all that.

nilibre ka nga lang naman for lunch.. kaso 10K lunch!!! kahit misis ko di ko pa yata nagastusan for lunch na ganyan ka mahal.. the most yung lunch namin pag buffet.. sa spiral, heat or dati sa circles..

kasi naman he paid cash so the server had to count and confirm the amount. Nalaman ko tuloy hahaha! May pagka kags yung friend ko, umiiwas sa credit card. Surprisingly, there are still a handful na although may card hindi nila ginagamit (my office BFF is also the same) Pre pandemic rare din ako mag card.

You are so right about him! He is super frugal! He really follows a budget kaya he doesn't always join lunch or dinner out sa office, but when he decides to spend, all out naman. Few years ago pala he asked me how much a Prada bag costs, nagpapasama sakin to buy kasi he plans to gift his (then new) GF, my office buddy and I told him do NOT buy expensive gifts. My office buddy said, asawa nga niya MK lang nireregalo niya hahaha! Buti nakinig, ayan break na sila.

Maganda nga timing ko kasi nasa mood nga siya gumastos hahaha! Siguro max na yung he is fond of me but it won't go beyond that kasi sa age gap pa lang tapos sinabihan pa niya ko years ago na wag ako masyado high maintenance (baka may mga interested na guys pero hindi tumuloy) Hindi naman totoo kasi bakit nagkaron naman ako several relationships

So true on tsikoteers, nung crush phase ko ang daming concerned, yung iba nga nagalit pa sakin sa tigas ng ulo ko. Minsan lang kasi ako mainlove kaya baliw :P
