bought 2 weeks of groceries for my mom, washed and put stuff in her ref, checked what else i need to buy for next week, and watched her eat 2 slices of cake i bought from contis. next time daw halo-halo hehehe! she'll be 90 in september.

My Lola is also 90 and still sharp and can walk on her own. Niloloko namin na masamang damo kasi :P hahaha! But her love is unconditional for her family

my 25 y.o. nephew, her yaya and a maid lives with her. ayaw nya matira sa akin, she prefers to be queen of her own castle. my sister (nephew's mom) is overseas and she comes home 2x a year. one time we were able to persuade her to stay with us when my nephew and sister went on a tour for a month. however she was always asking to go home and cried all the time so we ended up living with her instead of her living with us. ayaw nya talaga iwanan yung bahay nya kasi baka daw dumalaw father ko at wala siya (my father passed 9 years ago already). her house is in a family compound naman, she still has 2 sisters-in-law there.

she has alzheimer's na, she does not recognize me anymore nor remember even if i tell her. i know who she is and that's all that matters

she married late, she was in her late 30s when she had me.

I took the old mule out for a quiet drive. I missed its power and torque. It could have been useful during some recent mountain climbs. Its days are numbered. But, I'll miss the old workhorse.

Next year is its 13th year when we usually replace old cars. I don't know why I decided on 13 years. My last three cars were either traded in or replaced on their 13th year. Lucky 13, maybe?

Maybe we can keep it longer and sign it over to my eldest kid. Let it be her daily driver. After all, she had put in her share of scratches, dents, and stains on the car. She'll be right at home in it. ;)
