Does your company have any connections with PLDT? It could be intentional to force you to report for work. :D
Seriously, that is what AVP should do. With higher title comes greater responsibilities.

It looks like I won't be getting the position anymore. I am so behind the tasks that my VP is asking me to complete. I don't mind having lots of work but it's so hard when you have personal problems to worry about. I'm so stressed out and I am having palpitations for the past few days. I take care of my second Mom and then she got sick pa yesterday so I had to leave one meeting.
Last night I just cried driving home because I can't show my family especially my second Mom and my Mom that I am falling apart already :(
It really makes me wonder how some people with family problems can act normal pa at work, ako pag may problema either absent or hindi maka work :( Yung AVP namin, I had no idea namatayan pala ng anak (miscarriage yung wife) ang galing magdala kasi he was still normal at work, hindi naman niya pinagbubuhusan ng init ng ulo mga tao at hindi rin siya nag long absence or nagmukmok.

Yup, that particular AVP of ours has no friends at work. But my friends and I think that is ideal because he is never accused of favoritism or politicking. Here at work kasi may mga groups din and it's frowned upon when subordinates are close to their manager.
I am close to my former VP but I am rarely seen out with her. But I won't deny na my bias siya in favor of me. That's why I don't get called out for my tardiness and absences, pero sa iba strict siya.

Too much office politics. [emoji53] Politics aside, if you have a hard time juggling your time with the added work load, then that position you are after is not for you. Should be a sign... To be content na lang.

Drove back home overnight. Then, I had car lag. So, I spent the remaining overnight hours at the garage, installing my new bike tires.
Was here a few hours ago. My favorite place of solitude and escape.

It's so peaceful and so quiet as everybody is dead. No one here to bother you.
I salute the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for freedom.
