My worst flight experience was getting on the wrong plane. I fly a lot and I used to be on the road most of the time. Some countries I go to have small airports where people just walk to the plane. On this particular flight, I was in the South Pacific and the airport had 2 similar planes on the runway from the same airline, the Fokker F100, an old plane whose company went bankrupt decades ago. As I go to the boarding gate, the lady stationed there directed me to the wrong plane. I got on board and sat down and was surprised that we took off in a different direction. The airline in this country operates somewhat like a bus so though this particular flight was going to the same destination, it was needed to do five stops. What was meant to be a 90-minute flight became an 10-hour flight for me. To make matters worst, the airplane's air conditioning broke down after the second stop and on some of the legs of the flight, noisy kids or stinky people sat close to me.

A close second was when I took a small plane over some mountains in South America. The plane was a small Cessna 208 turboprop with an 8-seat configuration with a little room left at the back for cargo. The airline overbooked. I was one of the "extras" so they offloaded some of their cargo and installed a makeshift seat for me. The flight would have been ok if not for the fact that we were flying over the Andes and there was a lot of turbulence. The flight flew over some really beautiful scenery including some high waterfalls but I couldn't really appreciate since I was both scared and feeling giddy.

    Worst experiences would be

    1. A baby spoiling her diapers in the middle of the flight's nap time. The smell filled the cabin and woke up a lot of people. Better than getting vomited on I guess.
    2. Getting a seat beside rude passengers and seat reassignment is not possible. Nothing can be done on stinking passengers, no matter how offensive their aroma is.

almost christmas 1975 on a flight from cebu to bislig, stormy weather but i had to fly to spend christmas with the family. about 45 minutes into the flight, we hit the eye of the turbulence. at that instant, engine number one of the philippine fokker (left engine) stalled making the aircraft list to the left. the aircraft shook, vibrated and was having difficulty getting out of the mess. the lady to my left on the aisle seat was trying to make the sign of the cross from forehead to her belly and repeatedly doing the same thing not being to do the sign of the cross. i could't help but laugh, she got mad and was cussing me out (imagine a supposedly religious person cussing at you), i said to her, if you die, i die too. it was a matter of luck and survival. we made it to land after three attempts at the approach

Flight HK to Amsterdam on KLM, they only serve instant noodle or cheese sandwich for snack on business class. It also comes
with a milk or orange juice. No wonder Dutch Ladies are huge.

LA to Mnl on a fully booked flt, seated at the end of the plane, It cannot be reclined as exit door is behind it. .
That's the stiffest 14 hours of my life courtesy of PAL. :boo:

Mnl to San Francisco and back. A lot of elderly Pinoys on wheel chairs yet they can manage to walk and run after getting out of the terminal.

Laoag - manila during the time of ondoy. We literally hit ondoy during the flight. We were circling clark for a while because the captain said we cannot land at naia because the ils was not functioning and zero visibility. Terrible turbulence in the entire flight! Some people got really sick and the crew ran out of barf bags. Turbulence was a mixture of rough flight (matagtag), the plane dropping, and sometimes I can feel that the plane is somewhat fish tailing. Lahat na yata ng Santo natawag ko na. I was seated in the rear area where the toilet was located and an old lady who used it maybe lost he balance inside and panicked, banging on the door. Flight attendants came running which made me so nervous. All of this was happening while there was a terrible turbulence.

The one hour trip became more three hours, and we landed at iloilo (we were diverted there apparently). Got stuck there for more than two hours. Flight back from iloilo to manila was fairly quiet with some isolated turbulence which gave me the jitters because of the earlier experience.

Surprisingly the landing at naia was smooth considering that the landing was said to be visual because the landing aids at naia was f*Ckd up. However we were stuckat the tarmac for around two hours because our plane had no parking space. After disembarking, we were stuck naman sa airport for more than 5 hours because of the flooding. No taxi or even private vehicles was able to reach the airport...

Well, that is my story and I hope it won't happen again...

Huge FAs bumping my head with their hips while I was asleep.

FA poured red wine on my kahi pants around crotch area and she cleaned it with towel, soda and water for about 10 to 15 mins it felt stranged. she gave a bottle of wine (same brand) when I got off.

Plane with engine trouble we were asked to turn around while avout to take off.

Cancelled flights but were given free hotel accommodation and meals.
