Its because of the hazard that comes with it.

There are high pressure lines, H2S, heavy lifting and work pressure. You are exposed to elements (heat of the sun, heavy rain).

BTT: how much budget do you spend on eat outs every monthly? If we can cut the amount number of times we eat out every month, I think we can save more.

Yep, oil drilling. 28 days on-call. Minsan pag minamalas kakahiga pa lang tinatawag na ulit. Pag swerte pa fesbuk-fesbuk lang, pag down time naman swerte na kung matapos ng 24 hours. When the rig is losing money and you're the man on point you'll earn your year's salary in just a few hours. And then there's the danger involved. When I am at home pahirapan ako gisingin pero pag nasa rig kalahating katok pa lang sa door ko gising na ako. After 24 years one just develops that feeling that the next knock on your door will be "it".

I'll be going to Gabon next month. It will be my 1st time in Africa. They say the place is nice. The only down side is it's full of french people.

Oo nga pala, mali proposal ko. Drinks sa ofw, pulutan for the rest.

Red Lantern - can you bring enough girls to be the hostesses for the night? Or you might want to offer your house or condo unit for the venue. Booze and food are being paid by the company, right?
