If there's still such a law, it's useless, we can buy salmon head and belly in the wet market anytime, fillet in the supermarkets.

November 25th, 2022 12:11 PM #354that's exactly what many of the texted-in comments to the radio program, said.
apparently, only the government office concerned (BFAR), was aware of a law that restricted the sale of frozen salmon to restaurants and hotels, and "for industrial use" (whatever that means).Last edited by dr. d; November 25th, 2022 at 12:17 PM.

TIL that kalamansi juice and the "kalamansi" brand is now being marketed as a vietnamese "tetrapak" processed product in south korea after it became a popular "health fad" over there. in fact, vietnam is now aggressively farming kalamansi so they they can export it as their own even though it's not endemic to their nation.
pretty soon i guess vietnam is going to apply for iso certification something like what china did to south korea's kimchi w/c resulted in the infamous kimchi wars of 2020.Last edited by baludoy; December 1st, 2022 at 07:00 AM.

TIL that hand brakes/park brakes doesn't have ABS. I was watching a documentary about a plane that went over its landing. The plane's spoiler didn't work/deploy, the pilots then engage the emergency brake. Which according to the investigator caused the wheels to lock and ABS not used. The plane would have stopped and not go over the runway if the ABS was used and the wheels weren't locked.
So I was wondering about the same thing on the car. According to Google, yes same principle. No ABS on park brakes, which makes sense. So it's nice to know, don't use park brakes when panicking to stop.Last edited by BratPAQ; December 27th, 2022 at 07:15 PM.
