Some have white daylight with blue accent lighting. But interior lighting really depends on the room's theme.
Generally the make-up table has two lights on either side of the mirror. Usually the bulbs used would be incandecent (yellow), so you can used these if you want "ambiance" lighting.
There are light switches located at the bedside.Last edited by ghosthunter; July 26th, 2011 at 02:54 AM.

two small soaps and two towels are usually provided. Beyond that, you have to bring your own.
That means toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.
BTW, motel rooms do not have clocks so best to set your mobile phone's alarm so you know what time you need to wake up, etc.
You can bring in "outside" food to the motel. Generally be discrete about this. Leave the stuff in your car first until the attendant leaves then go back for your groceries.
Typical rooms have a mini-fridge so you can keep your drinks, etc cold.
If you need utensils, you can ask from the room service or bring disposable utensils.Last edited by ghosthunter; July 26th, 2011 at 02:49 AM.
