August 22nd, 2006 01:11 PM #14hindi tugma ang fire extinguisher nila siguro....tapos inabot na fuel line...e baka high octane pa ang fuel kaya unstoppable na ang sunog.
Merun din sigurong magnesium ang alloy wheels kaya nagignite ng kusa ito along with the rubber.
Probably a faulty electrical ang cause nyan...tapos hindi tama ang extinguisher na ginamit...sa car fire kasi dapat i-cut off mo ang battery source to prevent further short circuits that can lead to fire like those...kaya merun din "kill switch" ang mga race cars....

What a damn shame...
RE: Fire extinguishers: most fire extinguishers are rated for chemical fires, but once fuel starts burning, it's too much for a mere handheld extinguisher... there simply isn't enough "juice" in a handheld to deal with a fire like that.
With our home fire before, my brother used up three extinguishers but wasn't able to stop it... once a fire gets hot enough, you have no choice but to get the hell out of there...
