nope.
laking hassle talaga...

Lancer Box Type - timing belt broke. Buti na lang sa loob ng subdivision and I was able to easily diagnose that it was the timing belt kaya hindi ko pinagpilitang itakbo..... May narinig akong parang naputol and then when I checked, I found out that the rotor in the distributor is not rotating, so that's it.... Ipinahila ko na lang....
Corolla,- blocked fuel line. I don't remember the details... Basta alam ko, nakabihis kami at may lakad....

Many times
1981 300TD: Ran out of fuel (bad gauge)
1989 Lancer EL: Overheating (bad radiator), dead battery (twice), overheating again , broken exhaust pipe (no power), flat tire/s, wipers inoperable (in the pouring rain no less! - had to drive home w/o wipers)
1995 Corolla XE: Blown radiator top (luckily close to home), bad clutch (was towed)
1999 Civic SiR: Flat tire (close to home - ran over a sharp rock)
2004 Jazz: Flat tire (C-5 MO at night)

January 13th, 2008 05:25 PM #14Noong puro hand-me downs ang kotse ko, madalas. Overheating siguro pinaka common, electrical, wiper failure (in strong rain!), and my wheels got torn off due to loose nuts. Ngayon, and since nire-research ko reliability ratings ng rides ko, not in recent memory.

Yup. The timing belt of my DSM turbo shredded apart at +90 mph. Along with that, 12 of the 16 valves were wrecked/damaged, requiring an engine transplant later.
The worse part is, it happened 170-200 miles away from home in the middle of nowhere. I mean literally. It's desert with not a house/building/traffic in sight.
Good thing I left a note saying where I'll be along with a map. I also had a cellphone. Back in those days, they were quirky and can't be relied upon especially in NV. But, my uncle eventually came by although not until the next day. Then he had to send out a tow truck to retrieve my car. He also gave me a good chewing out. I just took it without question since he was paying for the tow job.
It's about 50-60 miles from here:
