kasi un firefox lang ang dinownload ko, d ko sinama yung isa uhhhm i forgot kaya gamit ko pang mails eh crazy browser pa rin hehe

IME

Some websites, usually they are merchants, have this browser detector i their scripts. They usually do this to make sure that their scripts work properly to the certain browser versions they prefer.

besides the preview release, do i have to download anything else to make firefox work perfectly as a browser and sho that i can check my yahoo, gmail, etc accounts?

some sites i've encountered that had this message was:
- gmail (only for older browser and not exclusive to mozilla)
- yahoo launchcast
- jobsdb (only 'cause theyre using some MS components which sucks)

im using mozilla 1.6 exclusively.

Mozilla is the name of the project that came out when the decision was made to opensource Netscape and it also refers to the entire suite of integrated internet applications developed under that project (browser/email/etc).

Firefox is an offshoot and is focused on the browser component only...

Thunderbird is focused on email only....

I highly recommend using Firefox and Thunderbird over Mozilla (based on my experience)...

FrankDrebin, di ko alam pare. basta meron MS component silang gamit since puro popup window ang jobsdb.

hagiber, i'd switch din kaso nasa beta pa ang thunderbird and may bug pa ata ang new 1.0 release ng firefox.
