everytime we have family and friends coming over, bilib sila sa fast internet, public transport etc

now that I'm back... mas masarap pa din yung may sarili kang transport. and mabilis din internet natin - nakaka-inis lang dito (sa Pinas) is that may places pa din na walang signal!

Dude, stay in the Philippines. Americans are leaving the US and moving to the Philippines. Once our youngest kid goes off to college, we're moving to the Philippines too.

If you do plan to move there? Join the military (get US citizenship with PH dual), retire in 20 years, and then come back to the Philippines with a pension (and/or VA disability compensation) plus Social Security later on. Spend those US $$$ in the Philippines.

Wala ako kamag-anak sa US.. Ramdam na ramdam ko yung homesickness and loneliness.. 1 month lang ako sa US (Kansas-Chicago-Michigan-Kansas).. Maliban sa Kansas, every day ibang tao nakakahalubilo ko at ako lang mag-isa sa hotel. Ok lang kapag nasa work, meron kausap pero yung weekend and after work.. Ang lungkot, lalo na winter ako nagpunta..
Sa una lang masaya ang winter at snow.. Pero sobra lungkot naidulot sakin nung weather..
Swerte kapag may kamag-anak sa US, mas madali ang buhay.. Pero kung mag-isa, di ko kaya ang lungkot.. Kaya siguro madaming baliw dun.. [emoji1308][emoji16] (joke lang)
Baka mas masaya siguro sa California.. Balita ko 2nd language daw ng Cali ang Filipino at meron daw subject sa school.. Mas mahal nga lang cost of living dun..

Pinadala nila ako sa mga malalamig..
Aliw lang dun kasi nakita ko na iba-iba pala per state.. Yung fashion ng mga tao, structures, internal design atbp.. Mali kasi imagination ko kala ko same across US.. Pati pamumuhay nila ma-alwan lahat.. Hindi pala..

Sa Michigan, sa Detroit ako pinadala.. Binalita ko dun sa puti na kasama ko sa Chicago.. Nag-alala sakin, pina-change nya yung itinerary ko.. Namili sya nung mga i-visit ko na safe.. Pagdating ko dun, kaya pala.. Thankful ako sa kanya..

Madami ako na-meet na mababait pero meron rin akong mga creepy experience..

Naisip ko parang same lang pala kahit saan ka mag-travel or mamuhay.. Sa Pilipinas lang talaga comfort zone ko, mahirap kapag wala kakilala tapos mag-start from scratch.. Ang swerte nung meron mag-support sayo. Iba pa din may kakilala para tulungan ka kung paano mamuhay dun..

I'll take you up on that. I'll be dividing my time between Tacloban where the wife will be much of the time and Metro Manila. It's still somewhat into the future although not as far as when I first mentioned it years ago. But, long-term endeavors take a lot of time and planning, esp with the famous Philippine red tape. Things are proceeding as expected.

Perseverance is a very Pinoy trait and because of that? Pinoys are everywhere, even on a tiny island called Aruba. Your best bet to find fellow Pinoys anywhere is to use Google and search for Fil-Am groups at whatever US location you're at.

Pansin ko lang, ang kaunti ng mga babae dun.. Or siguro sa IT Industry and HQ kasi kaya mas madami lalaki?
Nilakasan ko lang loob ko, inisip ko na lang hindi gagawa ng masama yung mga katrabaho ko..
Pero ang pandak ko kasi ang tatangkad ng mga tao dun, wala ako kalaban-laban kung sakali..
Isa yan sa mga kinatatakot ko dun.. Sa hallway ng hotel, lakad-takbo ako sa takot na baka meron humablot sakin papasok ng room nila..
Salamat na lang may Uber taxi din dun na sync sa system ng company namin.. Kaya 50% feeling safe, just in case madali ma-trace yung last taxi na sinakyan ko pati na din yung route..
Ang laking tulong ng technology ng smart phone.. Napaka-husay ng mga Pinoy na nag-migrate bago pa nauso ang internet.. Ang lalakas ng loob nila, mahinang nilalang ako ang dami kong takot.. [emoji23]
