    good luck.
Sometimes, even more. A big chunk of it won't be visible/appreciable.[emoji41]

We can't prevent natural ground movement or settlement, but structural misalignment is very much addressable.

Thanks for the tip. Yes, I'll ask the estimate for tie beams.

The remedy here is to excavate just below the floor to accommodate the beam that'll connect both hinge-holding posts. Pour concrete to floor level. Once done, realign your hinges.

I see what you're seeing, sir, & appreciate your faith. Been thought of a fool(very few left?) but what can I do? Grew up in a blue-collar household led by a passionate tinkering craftsman & an overbuilder of a pop who instilled the discipline of taking ownership & doing right above the temptations of margins. A fool by choice, upbringing or genes? I dunno, all 3, I guess?[emoji848] No escapin' rooted, hardened habits....So please, pardon me if I don't CVT.[emoji120][emoji4]

Here's a sample of a small & short gate column tied by beams. The red arrow beam to an existing structure, the green to the other gate post. The beams, columns & floor here were then poured in 1 sitting, monolithically.

You can surgically add them. Connections won't be as good, but they should help sort your issue, sir.
