Twice at pareho pang mc dala ko
Edsa malibay. May bata sumabit sa likod ng taxi. Tumakbo. Habol ako para masabihan driver. Di umabot at nalaglag batang babae. Huminto ako para maiwasan sasakyan. Di ko hinawakan at umiiyak. Bigla tumawid magulang at binuhat saka alis.
Hit and run. Sa kabihasnan. Dire diretso airport taxi sa red light. Boom ang right of way na motor na may angkas. Hinabol ko taxi at naabutan ko sa may eskinita bago mag airport rd. sakto malapit sa airport police station. Ni report ko sa nagbabantay ng gate/boom at hinuli driver.

i once helped a matronly makati lady park her car rear-end first in the then open-air glorietta car park. she was apparently causing quite the traffic jam when she approached me for assistance as i was walking-by minding my own business
also, i gave a ride to an old lady caught in an early sunday morning t0rren+ial downpour several years back (didn't know using that t-word is prohibited here). naawa ako kasi basang-basa na maski may dalang payong iyong lola
btw, i've also experienced being at the helping end of an accident back in davao city. unfortunately, i never got to thank the guyLast edited by baludoy; May 7th, 2014 at 11:25 PM.

Causeway Libis.
sayang talaga.... hehehehe

May 9th, 2014 12:13 AM #28Probably won't do a 'hands-on' approach, while driving on places I don't frequent. Will most likely call authorities like most of the others here.
On foot though, it's a different story. I used to frequent this outlet store in Bicutan with pals. We don't drive going to the place since we're not sure if there are good items on the store and paying the toll fee will surely be a waste. One time, waiting for any PUV to come by, a taxi suddenly dies in the middle of an T-section, causing traffic. I took a glance at the nearby tricycle terminal if the locals would go and help but they just sat down and looked. The lane home bound was blocked so we decided to help the taxi driver and push the cab off the street and into a drive way.
Another time was when I was on a bus with my girlfriend going to the province. I was sleeping when she woke me up and mentioned that we were taking quite a long time past the toll gate. Seems like most of the passengers are getting irritated too. Saw that the driver and the conductor weren't there, and were outside talking to the Skyway authorities. Went down the bus and talked to the officers what the commotion was really about. Turns out that the bus was using a stolen device which they used in paying the e-pass. Not sure how this was possible, so I insisted with the officers that they bring us to the Alabang station so we can board another bus to prevent delay for the passengers. Thankfully, they obliged and escorted us until the South Station .
Easier to help out as long as you dress simple and don't attract attention to yourself. A lot of people WILL take their chances at every opportunity, be it an accident or a simple commotion/

There was a time I helped a motorcycle rider sa Araneta Avenue in Quezon City. The roads were wet since it was just after a heavy rain and it was around 1am. I'm not too sure to feel pity on the rider or angry because he deserved it since humarurot kasi siya from the Araneta Avenue corner Quezon Avenue stoplight.. I was just right behind him when he suddenly... tumbled malapit sa canal area. I guess he hydroplaned from the damp surface and was pretty much thrown off course at quite a high speed (I say mga 80km/h+). First time I've seen somebody tumbled that far.. anak ng..
Holy crap. Since nasa likod ako running... even faster(hey, it's 1AM.) I swear, first time ko lang magswerve that severe. The Sonata literally did a 180 degree turn just to avoid him at nagpasalamat ako na 3 wide lanes ang Araneta since if not ako naman ang nahulog.
So basic life support: Check -> how's the speech? -> how's the feeling? -> good good? -> call ambulance just in case. Since may mga other drivers na by then checking on him, I simply left after calling an ambulance. He's conscious naman but I swear.. he's lucky if minor injuries lang yun.
