A lawyer friend of mine carries a sawed-off Norinco 12Ga. double barrel shotgun in the car. He's been handling cases involving drugs and illegal gambling so takot siya sa mga ambush ng riding in tandem. The judge hearing one of his cases got killed by the same MO.

yup
what you need is/are close quarter battle weapons, not sniper weapons. long and powerful weapons will never stand in court as a defensive weapon. this would fall under premeditated murder. automatic fire weapons as well are assault weapons-not defensive weapons.

i stand corrected then. nung kasi nagtanong ako when i got my m16 sabi sa akin sa fed di daw pwede. so that is why madaming ads ngayon for m4 and similar weapons in the internet. hmmm, time to save!
yup the 1911 is not that reliable, needs to be cleaned all the time, and highly modified to be reliable. that is why competition 1911's are so expensive because of all the mods that go with it. the only reason they use it in competitions is that there is nothing out there that even comes close to the smooth trigger pull of its single action trigger. lalo pa pag highly modified na, like say having a 3 pound pull, aluminum trigger and custom made sear. but yeah, pang competition na lang siya. it is not something you would prefer having in a gun fight.

maybe it will depend on what you're defending and who you're shooting? if you are in your house shooting at akyat bahay, or in a farm fighting off rope thieves (the kind of rope with a cow at the other end) the an assault rifle is justified.
but yes, an m4 in a car for self defense? naaah! it is not something you bring along unless you're mr. henry sy's security detail.

July 31st, 2013 10:33 AM #126would a flare gun require a license to carry?
in times of accident or you need to call attention you point it upwards and shoot.
in times of danger, you point at the body and shoot, if the flare goes inside the body, the criminal burns to death, pero kung mag bounce off sigro naman masakit pa din un at mahirapan sha tumakbo.

Those are huge guns to keep in a car.
What is the difference between a 9mm and 45 gun? Which is a better gun for a newbie owner?
