generally speaking:
a. Car-related gifts and non-ricey accessories (e.g. garmin, etc.)
b. Watch
c. Shoes
d. Cologne, perfume or personal hygiene products
e. Polos/shirts
f. Gadgets
g. Fine pen (like parker, cross)
avoid giving underwear. iba ang iniisip ng lalake pag binigyan mo kami ng underwear. and personal products like hankies and socks.
imho. ties are already not in. seldom do we wear that anymore dahil pwede na namang business attire ang shirt and coat na walang tie.... mainit eh.
to summarize, nasa pagbibigyan yan. since your boss is a football fan, try to give him something football related like jerseys, an actual signed football, a memorabilia, trading cards, his favorite team item, etc.Last edited by 1D4LV; February 11th, 2016 at 11:04 AM.

boss nya eh.....hehehehe. baka parang simon and leah yan.
dapat maintain professionalism.
although ako personally, i do not want my staff to give me gifts... baka isipin porke binigyan ako ng this or that, merong favor na kapalit sa work. at the same time, di rin naman ako nagbibigay ng gifts sa boss ko dahil baka sabihin humihingi ako ng favor and ma label ako na sipsip. alam nyo naman how office politics goes.
kung may boss - subordinate relationship, a simple happy birthday greeting will be sufficient, imho.
