No need to buy a phase converter..
A multimeter set to VAC should be able to give you the effective voltage level... However, the frequency should be spec'ed on your genset.
Typically line to line voltage is 1.73 x line to neutral voltage. (1.73 is square root of 3)
I assume may ground iyan... i measure mo rin ang line to ground voltage.
Else, kailangan mo ng step up or step down transformer,- whatever is appropriate.

1. Get a multimeter and set it to VAC (voltage - AC)
2. 3-phase iyan so tatlo ang ports or "lines"
3. Connect your multimeter probes in 2 of those terminals
4. It should read 220V for you to able to use it in your house.
5. If 220V - then connect those two ports you just measured to your house electrical line. You should be okay
6. If not - say 400V - you need a stepdown transformer to bring it down to 220V - take note of the power requirement of your house - 5KVA/W for example
7. If not - say 110V - you need a step up transformer to bring it up to 220V - take note of the power requirement of your house - 5KVA/W for example
8. Frequency - read it from the manual or the plate on the genset - should be 60Hz. If not you need a frequency or phase converter.

Uneven loading should be the least of your worries bro.
Your new capacity is full capacity of genset divided by 1.73.

45kva.
Sabi kasi ng electrician masisira daw dynamo if uneven ang load.Signature

So if my genset is 45KVA and I'll just use one phase, what's the equivalent capacity that I can utilize from the genset?
Right now, my genset supplies the following:
1 phase to my office
1 phase to our dirty kitchen/dining/maid's quarters/workers' quarters
1 phase to the house.
Signature
