August 20th, 2021 09:14 AM #961the analogy of the lampaso isn't far-fetched.
it's common belief that everyone knows how to lampaso, as is your assumption that everybody should know how to computer.
why shouldn't i relegate floor-managing to the janitor?
why shouldn't i relegate computer keyboarding to the office computer operator?
you'll be surprised.
in our workplace,
the seniors are near-helpless when it comes to computers.
ako mismo, hanggang internet lang ini.
i turn to our office secretary for computer-related activity.
but i am very good at removing stuck paper from the printer.
when you are older,
"you'll understand".Last edited by dr. d; August 20th, 2021 at 09:49 AM.

That's a ridiculous analogy (and somewhat an insult to my intelligence)
You are comparing white collar work to blue collar work. Yes, everyone knows how to use a lampaso but an office job does not need a lampaso on his day to day tasks unlike the computer that is ESSENTIAL to an office worker.
And yes I am saying that in an OFFICE JOB everyone knows how to use the computer. I am not saying a hospital, construction field, theater or what else industry - I was specific to an office job where a computer is to an employee as a vehicle is to a driver. Or maybe I am wrong, may mga office pa ba na may taong walang computer? Because in our office, kung wala kang computer, umuwi ka na lang, and even our country manager, the highest in PH, uses the computer, how else will be be able to email?

Putting words into my mouth. You are the one name calling, so what does that make you?
What is so hard to understand about my explanation??? How is that discrimination? I was not the one who brought up bosses having to mop floors? I am simply saying that a A COMPUTER IS AN ESSENTIAL TOOL for an office worker/desk job. At least that is how it is with everyone I know that works a desk job. Ano pa bang analogu gusto niyo? Computer is to desk job as vehicle is to driver, hammer is to a carpenter, scissors is to a barber?
Does a janitor need a computer in his tasks? Let's not even talk blue collar. Does a DOCTOR need a computer to complete his tasks? How about a singer? boxer? I am simply stating that in a DESK JOB a computer is an essential tool.
