April 8th, 2015 05:01 PM #1Free mall parking pushed in Manila | Motioncars
Finally somebody thought of this!

I don't agree for totally free parking though for commercial establishments.
Dapat meron na lang minimum purchase like P500 para yun mga abusado no choice but to buy something worth P500 eh di kung magpark sila everyday mas mahal pa magagstos nilaLast edited by shadow; April 8th, 2015 at 05:05 PM.

free parking(whole day) dati sta. lucia east grand mall for every 500 pesos worth of purchase. last quarter of 2014 lang nila tinanggal.
35 petot flat rate now.
if free parking would be pursued, agree ako na may mabigat na penalty sa mga aabuso. siguradong maraming magsasamantala dyan like you said shadow.

April 9th, 2015 08:30 AM #6The best way to deal with people using mall parking space as their own parking space for work/office is to charge an hourly rate (as opposed to flat rate) if a mall receipt cannot be presented. 500 pesos worth of receipt entitles you to 4 free hours of parking. If you extend beyond 4 hours then you pay the excess as an hourly rate.
If you think about the above system, it is quite reasonable. For mall goers, 500 pesos is not too big an amount to spend if you stay in the mall for half a day. And do people seriously stay more than 4 hours inside a mall?? They have nothing else better to do? Hehehe. I suppose some people does but let's not talk about the minority. We cannot please everyone.
For the "mall parkers", the mall parking suddenly became an expensive option for them. There will still be some of them who might value convenience over money and park there anyway but that will not be as much as what we see now in Galleria/Poveda. They will remain to be the mall's bread and butter in the parking space.
Problem solved.

April 8th, 2015 05:11 PM #9ayan na naman sila! malapit na kasi ang election kaya lumalabas na naman mga ganitong idea ng mga pulitiko. double purpose: to get votes and to get contributions from mall owners. abangan mo, pag malapit na or after ng elections, patay na naman tong resolution na 'to kasi nakuha na nila gusto nila.
