May 25th, 2011 10:26 AM #1Hello mga sirs. Sana pwede itong thread na ito. Would be a great help ang magiging mga reply nyo po. Pasig po ako nakatira. Flooded kami during Ondoy. It was the first time.

It also depends on what your budget is, what you prefer and what area it should be close to (i.e. subdivision, open area, etc.). Take note also that flooding in some areas due to Ondoy was due to extraordinary circumstances.
Paranaque was also mostly spared from Ondoy from what i know. In San Juan, areas near the river were hit.
When considering an area/property, just googlemaps it to see the terrain and any nearby creeks/rivers; when you visit it, take note of the terrain and where the water will flow to. Pag natyempo that there's strong rain and you're in the vicinity, go to the area so you can also observe water buildup (i've done this before and it was quite helpful).

check this one. it's on the news last night.
MMDA identifies 24 flood-prone areas - report - News | TopGear.com.ph
read also the comments below.

But then again, the place you'll be settling in will still depend on your budget. Hindi ka makakahanap ng magandang bahay for a very very cheap price. 5M+ ang used/brand-new na decent townhouse along QC.Last edited by renzo_d10; May 25th, 2011 at 01:40 PM.

yep paranaque in general was spared by floods during ondoy. pero meron din mga area na "basin" kaya doon napunta water.
decent house and lot would cost around 5m up depending on the location.
