Actually we are all guilty of buying fake products knowingly or unknowingly.
Have you ever noticed you buy pirated cds(vcd, audio cd, dvd, softwares? Majority of the PC users here in the Philippines use pirated MS Windows installed in their own PC. How about replacement parts for your vehicle? Originals are too expensive. How about buying fake celphone casing or the likes. At times, we buy what we perceived as originals and later discovering it as a fake. Nowadays, it is very hard to decipher what is real and what is not.
imho, iba ang definition ng fakes kesa sa replacements like what you are pointing out din sa spare parts ng vehicles. replacements are alternatives as far as i know, from the original parts. i really cannot enumerate now what spare parts can be faked (siguro pwede mga shock absorbers and such...).
ang fakes na pwedeng sabihin is for example, are those watches (rolex) na look like real except, makikita mo na yung movement ng hands nya is not as that smooth as the real thing.
fish tayo tol.

Replacement parts are also known as OEM replacements, they're not fakes...
Fake means that you're using a name brand's image, name or likeness to promote yourself. Replacement brands are legitimate products under a totally different brand and identity.
You won't see 555 items being branded as "Toyota Genuine Parts"

Ako rin react...
Meron Rolex na fake pero 5/6 ticks per second din. Kaya lang pag full size, mas magaan siya. Yung midsize, pareho lang ang weight. Class A replica yata tawag dun or something.
Peace...

Mga Bros:
What I meant by fake in replacement parts like:
Wiper blades, axel boot and other I can't hardly remember. I bought Bosch wiper blades and soon found out that it was fake. An imitation made from Taiwan yata. I was duped!

Frank: Actually I've been a victim of fake Winston cigarettes. I was a Winston smoker before. Now, I switched to Marlboro Lights. Nakakadala at nakakainis. It's like smoking papaya leaves or something. You can't even finish a single stick of it much more a pack. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!
