December 24th, 2005 09:24 PM #12Hello miniPilipinas;
I'm fascinated with this car ever since I was young. My 5-year old daughter shares the same but maybe she's more passionate. She calls it "Mr. Beans car".
Finally, I'll get a chance to own one. Some documents needs to be settled first though.
Maybe you can help me out here. I have some questions regarding the car:
1) What's the fair market price for a 1992 Mini Cooper, Range Rover?
2) Do we have available extensive engine, mechanical, & body parts for these models? For example, what are the availabilty & price of fenders, headlamps, front bumper, & doors?
3) Can any one guide me to a site to view this car model?
4) What are the stock's normal top speed?
5) How to join your club?
6) May I join you guys/gals even I still don't have the car just to get acquainted & get 1st hand informations from Mini lovers?
I appreciate your honest opinions/infos gentlemen.
Merry Christmas to your community!!!
My CP # is 0916-7000-954 & ofis # is 7000-728.

Can you guys please flood me with answers regarding my questions. I need to decide ASAP if I'm going to get the 1992 Mini cooper and your answers gentlemen will have a big bearing on my decision.
Sana may mga piesa locally available & the prices are not prohibitionary. If that's the case, expect to see me in your forthcoming EB's.

Hi MirokC,
A quick answer to your questions.
1.)We cannot tell a "fair" price for a mini since it comes in many different flavors. It would really depend on the "flavor" and accessories, condition, etc.
2.)We do have lots of parts, stock or modified, third-party, bolt-on parts, accessories, etc.
3.)There are lots of sites but there is no specific site that I came up with that would tell you all the model and details. You'll probably end up with more than 30 models of this car...
4.)The normal stock top speed, i would say, would be 140kph. Since the stock car comes only with a 140kph speedometer. Can't read anything beyond it.
5.)Fill up the form and minimal joining fee. Mageenjoy ka sa kakulitan ng mga members.
6.)Just go the the EB's even you're not a member.
Regards,
Ricky

I've always been fascinated by classics sports cars and small classic euro cars like the VW Beetle, Mini Cooper, Citroen 2CV, Renault Dauphine etc
Even back when I was still in high school I've always wanted to have a classic Mini Cooper. ....and i'm still dreaming of having one along with the new one.
Interesting little car, but I assume its rarer than the Beetle which was officially sold here for decades.
I'm curious about the classic Mini's spare parts, so to the current classic Mini owners, where do you usually source your spare parts?
Like the rubber cone springs, Oil Pump, Oil Filter, engine mounts, the rare tiny 145 SR10, 145/70 R12 and newer(upgraded) 175/50R13 tire sizes?
A timeless classic...

January 17th, 2006 11:39 PM #19hello mga mini lovers!
i've always wanted to own one since nakita ko ung mini cooper na pinang rarally and the car Mr.bean shows.
i have a friend but nakilala ko lng sya mga 2 weeks ago and we only met once, any way he is selling me their old mini its a 66' mini for 100k and finally after a long wait nakita ko na rin knina un car... but when i saw it nalungkot ako kc walang emblem, tpos ung grille nya kulay black na tpos wla na ung outer part ung edge ng grille and nabanga na sya head on to toyota revo. ung flarings naman basag basag na tpos ung lowered ung harap parang tokod sya tpos mag ka iba ung gap ng fender to wheels nya sa driver side and passenger side, and maraming masilya na ung body kc nung knatok ko matigas ung tunog
sa interior naman my speedo naman and fuel guage but i not sure if its really working or not but according to him its all working daw and ung steering wheel umaalog parang hindi sya fix e i mean d b dapat stable sya. and hinahataw sya lagi dati as in hinahataw inshort nilaspag... eto pa, pag umaatras my lumlagotok sa my suspension. tpos ung usok nya kulay puti na madami... and pag nagshishift ng gear, parang short shift?
i hope u can help me if its worth buying this car or sakit sa ulo ang aabutin ko... but im expecting na madaming aayusin kya lng is it fair for 100k? magano kya ang itatawad ko?
and can u guy give me some idea about the prices of the parts like if its going to be compared sa toyota, nissan parts?
thanks po.

January 24th, 2006 04:48 PM #20Hello Batman! This is Xzenia. I just registered today. I am a proud new owner of an old mini. It's a 1960 Mini Austin. May shop ba kayo? Are you the guy from Cavite? If you do have a shop, where is it? I need parts. Mine is semi-restored meaning marami pang dapat ayusin. I'm also in search of an A/C. Hindi ko magamit ang mi i kasi sobrang init pag walang aircon. Neighborhood drives pa lang ginagawa ko. Also can you recommend a good boy paint shop? My mini has a Union Jack flag sa bubong. The body is blue pero gusto ko sanang habukin yung blue nung Union Jack para matching. Please advise. Thanks!!
