December 21st, 2006 11:40 AM #41My mini is orange and my number begins with "D". It is tinted, for practical reasons, that you may have just thought that I am chubby through the tint, because I am not. But if it's a MK3 mini with white top, then most likely it's mine because I only know of 3 MK3 mini SALOONS in the Philippines. To really confirm that it's me, mine has white kiddy type decals on the upper lefthand corner of the bootlid that says "WHEN I GROW UP I WANT TO BE A CADILLAC"
. If not, then it's definitely not me.
Last i passed the area were in the afternoons of Dec16 and 18, going and coming from Subic.

December 21st, 2006 11:49 AM #42As to the 200K budget, that would suffice if you are handy on these things and you know where to get the right stuff. I know for a fact that Batman had recently disposed a mk4 mini for even less than that. P250K would be ideal... then move on from there. PM Petchoy, he got his matic 998A+ Mini for 250K.

December 26th, 2006 01:43 PM #44actually pwede... you can order each part or each body panel of the car... you can order the whole body shell for that matter... the greatest challenge is how to get it registered here... although if you have all the receipts... parhaps maybe there is a legal way of doing it... just the way PMC (the assembler of local fiberglass minis) did it in the 90s... i just don't know if the word "mini" will appear on the reg.
if i may reiterate... budget needed for the mini depends on your SKILL and PASSION for the car... kung MATIYAGA ka talaga and you have a knack on mechanical stuff... baka you can start even lower than a hundred K... mk1 or 2 yun. dun sa hindi... just as i've already stated... you would need higher budget.

December 27th, 2006 06:28 PM #47Have you tried ordering online say minispares?? <yes... when i restored my mk3... last century
Pano ba process nila to make sure the stuff you ordered gets here in manila.
< At minispares, I am not sure if I still remember it accurately, but initially I think you need to create a customer account. Then you simply login, find the items you want, put it in your shopping cart... and when your done... proceed to check out counter (w/c is, of course, only a button in the page). And in the succeeding webpage there is a button that estimates your freight charges. The total amount of your purchases plus carriage will appear. Then you'll just have to click the button to confirm the order. I am not sure if this is the time when they will ask for your credit card number. During my time, it only took 2 and a half days and the items were already at my front door. How to make sure it gets here... only UPS assures it. If you complained to Minispares, and UPS cannot show any form of signed receipt then that is proof that you did not receive it.
What are the charges? fees? <usual add up is just the carriage fee of United Parcel Service. Pagpasok dito, dagdag yung local taxes natin.
I have a friend who ordered a grille from DSN. Mali ang dumating na item. He complained to DSN, and DSN sent him the correct item without getting the wrong item back. Now that's what I call customer service...

December 27th, 2006 06:51 PM #48razaec racing, napanood mo na din ba yung classic version, na starring Michael Caine, na produced nung sixties? Remake na lang kasi itong kay Mark Walberg featuring mga Binis e. If you haven't, I recommend that you see it. 3 Classic Mini Cooper S's ang featured dun. May mga ginawa silang stunts dun na hindi ginawa sa remake.
