October 28th, 2006 08:46 AM #42Esarc,
I was told low comp ang jap version because jap versions are aircond-ready units para hindi pwersado ang makina. Also, sa injected minis, kakaiba ang ECU ng jap version over the rest.

I checked also the VIN in which the 11th letter indicates the assembly plant "D" for Longbridge (in U.K. not in Japan). As for the engine, ngayon lang ako nakarinig na lower ang compression ratio ng "Japanese mini". Teka , check muna ako sa mga libro.

November 1st, 2006 01:44 AM #47I will do just that. I know I am getting close to it. Can you please direct me specifically which to inspect in the cylinder head? Are there numbers to keep in mind? ...as to which one represents High and which one Low.
As to the transfer gears, I thought that they may have to do with the final drive ratio and not the compression ratio. Or does it?
I'll check the cyl head tomorrow and give you feedback... Thank you sir wanker.

Brod Rey,
Sabi ko Jap version or Jap spec ( extra emission related parts, two small hooks below rear number plate, serial no at the boot floor, etc )but not Jap made or assembled.. They are built in Uk but destined for japanese market ( hence jap version). Most of the minis that came from japan mababa ang likod from what ive seen and heard from other people. Maybe because of their love for HILOS ? Mini Maruyama also confirmed the low comp thing to my friend.
Regards
