May pera naman talaga sa youtube. Pero don't dare compare Pinoy squammy/problematic youtube channels to Legit content youtubers. Sponsors know where the market is, so that is where the money goes

[emoji23]

thing is PH population is big enough to support jolog vloggers

ung taste ng masa... appealing sa masa ang kapwa masa kaya jolog vloggers can have millions of followers

the masa are numerous enough that they can make a mimiyuuuh a celebrity

hmm let me illustrate the point of my post. You can expect MKBHD's (marques brownlee) vlogging earnings are expected to be exponentially higher than say JaMill. They have a close subscriber count at 12M vs 11.1M, but the demographic (due to creator's contents) makes it unfair to compare the earnings of the jolog couple to the tech guru's.

I would think Marques Brownlee's audience reach is bigger since English siya (and mas malaki earnings pag English) and tech related yung content niya.

And yes advertisers can pick videos and content creators, but that doesn't mean nawalan ng advertiser ang JaMill because it went to another. YouTube will simply put another ad on their vids. You don't even have to be as big as JaMill, may certain subscriber and views count threshold na pagnareach mo lalagyan na ng ads vids mo.

Kahit same number ng subs if one has more views per video and frequency of videos, that will typically have higher income.

Quality of content and demographic reach also matters. A video with 500k views but reaches professionals will have higher ad rates and chances of sponsorship vs 1M views na puro squammy nanonood.

Yes I know it's views, I just mention the subs kasi more or less you get an idea of how popular a vlogger is and the number of views.

Saka paano mo nalaman yun lang source of income nila?

It's usually the small vloggers, yung "my first youtube sweldo" content. I don't watch them also.

Compare 2 tao, both 21 years old, isang vlogger at sa isang teller sa bangko, in 3 yrs malamang teller pa rin or assistant manager yung sa bangko. Si vlogger pwedeng earning 6 digits na.

BUT BUT BUT what I noticed they all start out with a regular job, tapos nagre resign - that is when I know na malaki na kita nila. Sobrang dami na ganyan, yung isa pinauwi seaman niya na asawa, call center, teacher, nurse, corporate when they reached 100k subs nag full time na

Same risk as pagaartista with equally low chances of success. Siyempre ang nakikita lang is yung sumikat na but for every Youtuber with a million views per video, meron diyan hundreds lang kahit anong effort.

Pero ang maganda sa youtube kahit hindi ka sikat marami pa rin pera for the amount of work. Pwede you have a full time job then you earn extra from youtube. Like yung isa na 18k subs, most of her vids below 10k lang but she gets P13k month. May isa pang vlogger who has more or less the same subs and views nasa P15k ata and she uses that to take care of her many dogs
