ser lamborghinione, on the power department magugulat ka yung Fiesta ngayon has actually alot of grunt. so i think it has enough reserve to beat the Jazz. though power shows. 120ps for Jazz and 117hp for Fiesta, the latter has slightly fatter torque. u'd be (pleasantly) surprised.... pero yun nga lang yung dashboard plastics ng Fiesta eh mas mukhang cheap talaga....
pero although kahit mas lower yung Mazda2 in terms of power....yung group test ginawa sa Japan. lumabas na top yung Mazda 2 interms of Race track performance, and lower fuel consumption..... but u do have to sacrifice some leg space compared to the jazz...

Isipin mo to, Toyota and Honda, no. 1 and 3 sa local market, most
trusted brands pa sila. So kung ikaw(Mazda/Ford), gusto mong i-woo loyal buyers nila, hindi mo man matalo sa engineering prowess(Honda-fuel efficient/powerful engines, Toyota-dependable), pero sa pagbaba ng presyo, may chance di ba?
I'm not anti-Honda or Toyota, follower din naman ako ng mga brands na to. Pero for some buyers, no. 1 sa kanila yung value for money when choosing a car which I think lamang yung Mazda at Ford sa ibang Japanese brands. Sad to say majority of all local buyers are NOT aware of it.
In short, wag gawin 805K ang price Mazda 2!

Comparison:
Jazz 1.5: 120 PS * 6600 rpm, 145 Nm * 4800 rpm
Fiesta 1.6: 120 PS * 6000 rpm, 152 Nm * 4050 rpm
Mazda 2 1.5: 103PS * 6000 rpm, 137 Nm * 4000 rpm
Jazz 1.3: 100 PS * 6000 rpm, 127 Nm * 4800 rpm
Fiesta 1.4: 96 PS * 5750 rpm, 128 Nm * 4200 rpm
Mazda 2 1.3: 86 PS * 6000 rpm, 122Nm * 3500 rpm
I heard that the quality is ok, guess we must just wait and see the actual unit.
Like what Tom Ford of Fith Gear said when moving from a Focus to a Fiesta, its like you just downsized without the feeling that you also downgraded.Last edited by AG4; October 13th, 2009 at 03:38 PM.

Sir eggman, I'm not saying na mahal ang Mazda 2
I think deceiving pa rin yun 805K, kung kaya naman ng Mazda na magbigay ng let's say 50 to 70K(or more??) discount e di around 755 to 735K na lang price for top of the line model. Di ba malaking attraction to for would be Mazda2 buyers?
More sales = more profits = brand image/trust improvement(parang Honda or Toyota, pag marami kang nakikita sa daan, meaning maraming happy and satisfied owners, then gusto mo na rin bumili unless gusto mo kakaiba ka)
Anyway, kanya-kanyang strategy naman nyan and I'm not the boss.
