If cabin temp goes above aircon temp setting engine will restart. From the long list of conditions (IIRC that list was posted here somewhere) if the aircon temp is not the lowest or highest i-stop won't activate anyway.
Some owners in AU posted that some units may have been released with a normal battery instead of the required Q85 so their i-stop didn't work. A battery replacement was recommended.

Reasons why a specific battery for i-stop system is necessary
When a vehicle equipped with i-stop system stops at a red light, engine is stopped for fuel economy improvement. When the vehicle starts to drive again, the engine restarts. So, battery discharging and charging are repeated in a short period of time.
Also, during i-stop operation, as electric power for air conditioning and audio systems etc. is supplied from the battery only, discharging occurs more than on vehicles without i-stop system.
If a battery other than the specifically designed for i-stop is used instead, its lifecycle may be reduced or it may disable i-stop function.

I've tried the i-Stop on the Mz6. It's actually rather foolproof and not intrusive. It was smart enough to know when I was in stop and go traffic and when I was really stopped because of a red light, and it only turned the engine off during the latter. Aircon also remained on despite the engine being off, though it was much weaker (similar to when you turn your aircon on with a conventional car placed in ACC mode).

July 17th, 2013 10:12 PM #907Sabi sa akin ng Service Advisor, Motolite daw is developing a localized version already. Hopefully by the time your batteries expire or run out, nakalabas na yung Motolite for i-stop.

I mean even peugeot has it in some of their models, but the question still is, saan ang battery? Haha.

Alam ko Peugeot has it din.
