July 27th, 2017 11:25 PM #42I'm considering buying a Mazda 3. It seems a good value for money. Tanong lang regarding maintenance after Yojin 3:
1. Are there stores selling genuine Mazda parts aside from casas? How's the availability of their parts?
2. If I buy parts outside casa, meron bang casa that allows parts to be brought in, kahit may corkage o waiver?
3. For comparison, how much is a cabin filter, or front brake pads if bought from the casa?
Thanks in advance.

Found dealership parts pricing surprisingly fair & competitive relative to US online. Bought some non-maintenance items for experimental purposes...OE headlamp dust boot at P400ish, steering wheel clockspring for the M2's paddle addition at sub3k.....So far, ownership has been really good. Better than my Honda, Toyota, Mitsu dealership experiences....Then again, things could vary from 1 dealership to another.

what is your current vehicle? most casas naman offer good prices for the oil filters. sure some outside shops offer cheaper pricing but marginally naman.
maganda sa casa.. the oil change is recorded. some buyers would love to see yojin records and the after yojin records too.

July 28th, 2017 06:18 PM #45Had Nissan and Honda, now I own Korean cars. Casa maintained yung mga kotse ko. Normally if still under warranty, sa casa ako bumibili saka paservice.
Out of warranty, I look for casa na pwede magpasok ng genuine parts. This way I save a lot and get the expertise of the dealership. I source parts here or abroad. Sa Honda, hindi talaga pwede outside parts.

Mejo iba experience ko kay sir travs
Casa parts prices are ridiculously overpriced for my 2nd gen, even consumable parts
around 3x ang price ni casa vs other reputable shops for original parts
one example is Engine Air Filter, Casa price is Php 1800 while price sa Mazford is only 600
*jiggs84,vclnrj
did not bother to ask for quotes from other dealers, mostly DIY naman kasi ako and meron na rin akong mga suking mechanic
yung Php 40k+ na pricing siguro is if you let them do anything they want in your 80k pms
i'm sure pwedeng mas mababa if hindi mo ipapagawa yung mga non-essentials like putting engine additives, etc.

August 30th, 2017 09:55 AM #48Hello All,
Owner of a 2014 3 1.5v. I'm coming up on 70kms and would like to know anyone else's experience maintaining outside of casa. The maintenance schedule says pag 70km change oil and filter lang. Any recommended shops especially sa south? Thanks in advance!

If you're at Metro Manila, get in touch with MazFord store at Banawe. Not sure if they have spare parts for the latest Mazda models but so far for my old 2008 Mazda3 sedan that store gave better price deals for genuine Mazda parts compared to the Mazda Quezon ave branch.

Not sure if this really true but someone claimed that Mazford is selling fake Mazda spare parts.
