On chin trouble, this might make it less painful...

ID the likely scrape points. Clean those areas under thoroughly, then final rub w/ moisturizer-free isopropyl alcohol. Overlay the 3M Tub & Shower Tread on those areas. Make em as stealth as possible. Should these patches eventually get scuffed, rinse & repeat.
I've long used that product for scuff protection on step boards & sills. It's tough & when stuck properly, they cling well. Look at my hobo application of this as scuff plates...

Hope this helps, doc! Happy Motorin'!!!!
wow!! thanks for sharing your MacGyver idea. will try.

I was surprised that even with the 18" rims the ride is still good.

Dealership drilled 4 holes. A bit too late but still happily relocated....

If you fear the drill, please advise your dealership ahead.

The scratches were really deep.... Was going down a ramp wherein the receiving road was also an incline (did that make sense, hard to describe) even if I was nearly parallel to the receiving road, the driver's side of the skirt still made contact with the pavement thus my dilemma... I'll just try cleaning it out then stick the 3m shower tread and see where it goes. Thanks for the help!!!
