Yup. The phone matters a lot. For my car which has VK70 tints which reduces GPS reception, I have a hard time getting GPS signal with my Note 4 and iPhone 6.
When I upgraded to a Note 5, I didn't have GPS problems anymore.

For me better sya kasi parati sya naghahanap ng faster route depende sa traffic volume ng mga roads na pwede mo daanan.
So on the fly pwede ka magadjust at abisuhan ka kung may accident o may roadworks sa dadaanan mo

waze is almost perfect for me. although I still have Google maps and its offline maps as backup. sa waze kasi pag nawalan ka ng internet while deviating from your route eh you can get lost. so make sure you have Google maps and download the area you are going to have an offline backup.
