I used to rely on my note3 for Waze Navigation and DiailyRoads Car DVR. But after upgrading to android 4.4, my GPS can no longer lock on any satellite. It improved a bit after Lollipop upgrade, though not as effective as before 4.4. And when using on my other car with 3M, magic tint, it can't get a gps lock when traversing Cavite's remote roads with plenty of trees

In comparison to my iphone 6+, it takea only a few seconds to get a GPS lock, as long as I'm outdoors

But so far, ok lang yung ip6+ when it comes to waze. Mas mabilis mag lock ang gps compared to my old 5s. Kinaya rin nya waze from baguio to manila na walang charger.

High Temp can sometimes mess up your phone sensors, gps especially. Better use a phone holder that places your phone away from sunlight and or near aircon vent. I just changed my winshield phone holder to the kind that clamps from the rear view mirror. Phone runs much cooler now and no gps signal lost ever since.

This makes a lot of sense. However bro jut iirc uses a mount that's near the ac and away from the windshield.
