Driving from Manila to Vigan...any tips?

First time driving to Vigan...

Tama po ba na NLEX > SCTEX > TPLEX Pozorrubio exit > McArthur Hiway all the way to Vigan?

Will be leaving Balintawak around 6-6:30 AM sa Ninoy Aquino Day (Aug. 21). I'm betting on people actually filing for VLs ng Aug. 20 para Aug. 18-22 na long weekend nila, so wala na masyado kasabay ng Aug. 21.

if there is an accident sa express way. its most likely sa fast lane.. some dumbas5 was in the slow lane and caused the accident. take the right lanes to avoid the slow downs...

If you can, leave at a much early time. Yang part ng Bauang-San Fernando ay may traffic din so mas okay kung malagpasan mo agad siya.

Tapos kung maaga kayo makakarating, you can still visit Baluarte and cross that out of the list on your first day.

Marami na resto northbound sa TPLEX. Andami na din 711 along the way if you need coffee. Pag gabi nag byahe you can do it in 8 hours including stopovers, easy driving lang.

I did manila-vigan last january for a legal meeting. Left around 12mn no traffic. Took only 5 hours. Best times talaga to drive that route is late at night to early morning to avoid all the trikes and jeeps.

Drove back to manila and left around 3pm took me around 6-6.5 hrs because of the traffic.

I agree with you sir, if traveling to provinces, it's better to travel midnight or early morning to avoid traffic, jeeps and trikes, dati if we travel to Boracay when we were still young, we always leave iloilo midnight. Yun nga lang, you have to sleep or rest early.
