To answer your question. Lexus does not compare to the europeans. Lexus first came into conception in the late 80's, no brand pedigree really if you compare it to Mercedes Benz, who's been around for ages. The Japanese wanted to grab a foothold on the luxury platform that the europeans are dominating, so there came out brand like Lexus, Infinity, etc.
I do not own a Lexus, because I can't afford a brand spanking new model (any old model Lexuses roaming around in Manila?). I have (or have had) numerous Benzes under my possesion though, and the build quality of each speaks volumes. Have parts .... they will run forever. That kind of quality.

FYI, we were discussing about a specific topic.
Then one of your "friend" (maybe), came and started bragging about where he came from and what he test drove.
And then you came with these out-of-the-blue questions asking if I live in US or Canada and comments that I make $80K.
Then you come back and say you don't care - that's a big contrary to your replies.
Suddenly, you post a picture of some SUV and came asking if this truck is available in the US.
I asked if its yours because if its not, then what's your point????
Dude, I can totally see where those 18k posts came from - from your out-of-topic responses that doesn't even contribute to anything nor they make any sense.

Tama na nga kayo pag uumpugin ko kayo eh.
Lexus. Sabihin na nating Toyota rin lang. But they benefit from Toyota's huge parts bin, engineering and know-how, and reliability that people expect from a Toyota.
It's no different than any MQB based car in the VW/Audi/Skoda fold. Or the Touareg/Q7/Cayenne. And my car is just a flattened Beetle.
BMW will probably partner with another manufacturer to benefit from economies of scale that Toyota and VAG has, in order to stay competitive. Although the old guard probably wouldn't like this. We will see who wins.

This basically sums it up.
I don't know how Jeremy, Jay, someone's mom and sister and even the less fortunate got into the equation. Oh, for goodness sakes, even a self-proclaimed rich kid who eats fishballs.
I have a feeling that I'm wasting my time here "arguing" with some teenagers.
Now, let's get back to the topic.
