We had a lot of issues with a 2017 Evoque. Had a defective module after a few months, may pumapasok na tubig sa loob pag umuulan, experienced also the check engine light.
Ang sama pa ng response ng old dealer. So far maganda after sales ng new dealer. But generally I think it is the car.
But overall, we cannot recommend it. Unless the new model is better.
I will go with the advice of the others specially if offroading mo gagamitin.

Will check the Cherokee. Although sabi hindi daw reliable but I think kaya madalas masira grabe naman iharabas ang mga Jeep. Bakbakan kung bakbakan sa trail.
FJ is too big with outdated interior.
Might check the Countryman kung reliable. Importante hindi ako itirik sa bundok at di ko dadalin sa service center maya't-maya

The FJ is not too big. It's barely even wider than the Range Rover you were looking at. The length is similar to most crossovers.
Agree with interior, but since its geared towards off-roading than luxury, a plain old school interior seems tolerable and would probably be more resistant to wear.

How about the Jeep Wrangler Sport? I think it’s around 3.5M to 4M. It is powered by a 2.0L turbo gas engine. Wranglers do come standard with a 4WD transfer case.

Range Rover Evoque Dimensions 22 | CarsGuide
Toyota FJ Cruiser Dimensions 217 | CarsGuide
Range Rover Evoque vs FJ Cruiser's dimensions. Evoque is wider than the FJ but the FJ is longer by more than 300mm only. It's up to TC if he considers 300mm or so big since he's also looking for cars which are somewhat reliable.
