Will the Kia Stinger be released locally? RWD with a limited slip differential powered by a turbo-4/turbo-6 is one good proposition. An AWD model with torque vectoring will also be offered in the global market. Maybe the turbo-4 (255hp) RWD model at around 1.7M-1.8M will be a sporty option (more fun) compared to the lot of FWD midsizers sold locally.

One key feature I noticed with the Stinger is the 2nd row seats. Seems to have a lot of space for a performance car. Definitely a lot more space than the Mustang's 2+2.
Maybe it won't be as quick as the Mustang GT but it will be a lot more practical with the extra interior space. Maybe it won't be as buttoned down as a BMW dynamics-wise but at a similar price point it'll be a lot quicker.
But I do get the difficulty with the pricing. A lot of options near their asking price.

Sparc179, istan, and I spent almost an hour test-driving the Stinger a few months back. We were all surprised and amazed in our experience with this sport sedan. My FXT felt tamed against the Stinger. I think the only other RWD sport sedan within its price is the Lexus IS350 but in terms of performance and interior space, the Stinger will trump the IS350. All other RWD sports sedan (mostly Euro) will cost a lot more. The old BMW 328i is a gem of a daily sports compact but it was priced more than 4M and it was just within the performance capability of the IS350.
The Stinger's size straddles between a Euro compact and a Euro midsize. It has the dimensions and interior space of a Japanese midsize, around similar proportions as a Mazda6. The only thing I find annoying is the small rear window. I have test driven also the new Mazda6 SkyActiv turbo and it didn't excite my senses as the Stinger - understandable as it is 1M cheaper than the Stinger.
If anyone is buying a Stinger, they should keep it. You will lose money if you sell it later on due to its brand name. By then, a lot of folks will be waiting to buy a used Stinger cheap and I maybe one of them.
If you are truly practical, for the same amount of money, you can buy two cars - a WRX MT for your weekend fun and track car plus an Innova as the family hauler.
