That was even in wet road conditions. What more in dry conditions or with grippier tires?

True that Master E, makes me wish we could have re-scheduled that drive during one of my friend's test runs inside Clark speedway. That would have been even better.

What impressed me more is the finely tuned chassis-suspension set up. How was the ride? Is it a track car or more of an everyday racecar? ‘Cause one of the main complaints with the Toyota 86 is that it isn’t really a comfortable car to use.

It rides like a luxury sedan sir Bloo, very comfy seats, not too bumpy on uneven road surfaces and the way it just feels more stable even in wet conditions, it presents a nice balance overall.

More like a midsize sedan with a firm ride, like an Accord or Mazda6 but sits lower to the ground. It is very composed on hard acceleration, not much wrangling on the steering wheel. We were doing around 180 kmh at SCTEX with rain pouring hard and 4 people on board, and we were just comfortably cruising along. We had the car set at Sport suspension most of the time during the test drive.

The WRX rides stiffer. The BRZ is tuned with a stiffer suspension compared to the 86 but these cars are meant to be driven with just 2 people on the car.

The 86 & BRZ are more like “Toys for the Big Boys”, but not all car freaks are track guys anyway. It is interesting, though, that they were able to get that balance of performance & comfort in a road car.
