I still remember the first time Sorento came to our market back in 2004/2005 when it was promoted by Andre Agassi globally. The base model was 4x2 that launched with an SRP of 995k php.

Never got the chance to own it as when we wanted to order it that time, color was out of stock and they wanted to push the higher more expensive trim. We ended up purchasing an Innova 2.0G MT instead of similar price point.

Ive always preferred Kia Sorento's packaginf over the Hyundai Sta Fe. Heck, i think ive always preferred Kias over Hyundais.

Though the current Sorentos are no longer at practical price points I'd consider, i kind of understand why and the packaging has improved/evolved over the years as well.

    I own a Kia & a hyundai. A significant difference is the PMS. Every 6 months/5k kms for Kia & 3 months/5k for hyundai.

my dealership is kind enough to offer a 6mos or 10k kms PMS when they recommended shifting to FS oil during my first 1st PMS.

Significantly bigger naman ung explorer in terms of length and wheelbase. So mas closer siya sa 3 million plus na palisade at telluride with the same diesels as their smaller counterparts if i'm not mistaken.

The Pallisade and Telluride are offered with bigger gas engines in the US. Better to compete with the likes of the Explorer, 4Runner, Pilot, Ascent, and Pathfinder.

The 2020 Explorer was released in small numbers locally but it was sold out right away. Ford got rid of the 3.5L V6 Ecoboost on the AWD model in place of a more powerful tune of the 2.3L Ecoboost (300hp versus the older 270hp tune). The 2020 Explorer AWD got lighter in weight and in price (3M vs 3.5M).

Ford sold on big discounts the older Explorer Sport AWD 3.5L V6 Ecoboost. A bargain of sorts for a grocery-getter that packs almost 400hp in output.

Yes i'm aware of that eh kaso rito diesel sila diba. Pero predecessors nila na mohave at veracruz parehas naka v6 na diesels dati. Sana yun nalang din nilagay imbes na ung small revgt na 2.2 ng hyundai.

Yes, but that is still a top up with a liter pms every 5k kms or 3 mos along with other stuff. Kia & Hyundai have their good & bad. I just prefer the Kia pms since I hardly use mine. Imagine if I got a Tucson instead. Bago pa langis pms na agad.

That 2.2 R diesel engines of Hyundai/Kia are more than enough for our needs since we don’t tow trailers.

I mean for the palisade and telluride lol. More than 3 million kasi sila. Sa santa fe at sorento no problem si revgt 2.2 kasi ideal na un para sa size nila.
