April 5th, 2010 12:38 PM #3743Thanks for the quick replies, Valskie01 and Vinrem! So, its normal to hear a whistling sound all the time? Even when you just start the car and rev your engine? With mine kasi, I can hear the whistling sound even when I just rev my engine...
I tested my dad's Carens the other day and I didn't hear any whistling sound when I revved it...

April 8th, 2010 03:08 PM #3748Bro joshua_ching, yup I know that. I just revved the car to observe the noise coming out from it. But thanks for the words of advice.
In any case, I brought the car to Kia Pasig yesterday and they replaced the pulley bearings (whatever that is... hehehehe). After that, the noise was gone. Nothing to do with the VGT, after all. Tapos, to my pleasant surprise, they also replaced my two front seatbelts! After the flood kasi, the seatbelts got stained with mold and whatnot. I pointed it out to Kia and to the insurance company before. Initially, sabi ng Kia na the seatbelts were still in perfect working condition and they'll just clean it. Admittedly, the seatbelts were working fine nga naman. Di lang maganda yung itsura nung small stains.
Anyway, when I brought the car to Kia for servicing yesterday, they informed me that my replacement seatbelts had arrived and they installed them in my car!
They considered both repairs/replacements to be a part of my insurance claim so I went home without paying a single cent! Kudos to both Kia Pasig and my insurance company!
I still haven't had a chance to take a picture of my "brand new" Carens with the new tint, new seatcovers, and everything! Will try to do so soon. Meanwhile, I'm off to Subic again tomorrow! Hehehehe...

April 11th, 2010 01:04 PM #3749Ngayong ang average age ng Carens natin e almost two years old na, anong ginagawa ng karaniwan sa mga scratches sa paint job dahil sa iba't-ibang dahilan (door dings, tricycle ooppss!!, small rocks, mga bata sa kalye, etc.)? Meron ba kayong ginagamit na touch-up paint? Kung nakakita kayo, saan ba nabibili yun dito? Sayang at di pa ko nakabili nung nasa Tate pa ako last year.

So far nag-a-average tayo ng mga P18K more or less per annum sa PMS.
