May 13th, 2011 05:24 PM #205Chief, isang kilala ko na sumali sa Isuzu DMax dura-mile challenge (economy run) was able to achieve 21 km per litre on his "3.0 Ddi-iTEQ"
....Maximum takbo daw niya ay 70 kph lang, bihirang mag-freno, at tuwing may pababa, disengaged daw niya gears niya padungdong.... ahihi ---- ayaw ko naman ng ganyan pagma-manejo harhar!
i take it that your limited revs of 1500 rpm is in relatively flat roads and not in ascents, else, you'd be straining your engine in uphills....

May 16th, 2011 11:19 PM #207May 2011 Isuzu Inteco QAve. Family Run
Best fuel-economy posted by different Isuzu owners:
1. Alterra - 22.53 km per litre (only auto-trannies were allowed)
2. Crosswind - 24.76 km per litre
3. DMax - 21.49 km per litre (only manual-trannies)
According to the Inteco Dealerships' Facebook page, all vehicles were checked by Isuzu representatives prior to the run ---- they all had to be bone-stock, no aftermarket air filters, no tuning chips or anything for that matter that will further enhance fuel-economy and boost power.

Took my 2011 D-Max LS A/T to Zambales last weekend.
Total KMs: 441km
Fuel consumed: 40 liters
SLEX - 100-130kph
NLEX - 110kph
SCTEX - 120-145kph
11km/L is not bad considering my speed and some moderate traffic on the non-expressway roads.
