mbt::: Hehe, Yup. suki ako ng south super traffic, este south super hiway! Im not sure if this is a diesel thing, an aerodynamics thing or a pajero thing, pero very minimal lang talaga ang tipid sa consumption pag "all hiway" ako. Pag all city i usually manage around 8km/L. So 0.6km/L increase lang when i go all highway.
Compare this to the RAV4. Pag city driving mga 6 - 6.5 km/L. Pag highway mga 9km/L!!! Major DIfference

March 5th, 2003 10:43 PM #15reasons why fuel consumption comparison is not accurate:
1. different driving attitudes of different drivers
2. road conditions (rough or smooth)
3. traffic conditions (stop go or smooth go)
4. distance of travel (daily short drives or daily long drives)
the best way to know (dead accurate) if you have good fuel consumption is to swap with another person who owns the same type and model of vehicle, use it for a month and observe.
or
measure your fuel consumption regularly. your old readings will be your basis for future readings. this will tell you if you have high fuel consumption.
cheers!

May 20th, 2003 04:53 PM #18zitro,
Nang gamitin ko yong trooper (4JX1-TC) papuntang samar, full tank ako ng umalis sa QC, half tank load ako sa Legaspi, up to catbalogan na iyon (800kms).
Pabalik, half tank sa Calbayog, third and last refill at Pagbilao (approx 150 kms from QC).
May kasama pang idling yon ng about 6 hours.
Full tank ng 4x2 trooper is only 80liters, so total consumed is about 120 liters at a distance of 1450kms = 12 kms/
Ave speed ko was about 50kph, one month pa lang baby ko noon kaya di pa makahataw. Tire pressure 35psi. Load, 6 adults lang kami.
