How many liters Transmission oil and Gear oil for Crosswind XTO

The principal differences between engine type oils and "extreme pressure" or EP gear oils is the ability to withstand very high contact pressures as seen in car final drives (axles), Gear oils also are designed to cope with very high contact stresses between gear teeth.And a "wet clutch" wont like it...

so ibig sabihin ng Isuzu,naka design ang gear oil ay sa differential or wheel axle lang dapat,kasi wala ditong clutch lining,seals,lightly loaded gear,etc,na ma jeopardized dahil sa gear oil na tulad ng nasa loob ng tranny mo,

It won't make your tranny seized up on first run, but won't do it any good.kaya sa una,maganda pa tumakbo yan,pero pag narugado na yang tranny mo sa gear oil,sasakit na ulo mo dyan...

I did a survey on may trusted mechanics, would you believe all of them said to use Gear oil on the transmission.

Mine is 2001 XTO just recently lang when I reviewed the manual na Engine oil dapat ilagay. when I went to petron

to have my tranny oil changed Sabi niya Gear oil ang nilalagay. I just insisted that I want to use trekker 15w 40 on my tranny.

Na noticed ko lang parang may kaunting gaspang lang sa pag shift ko sa bagong changed oil, pero pa sumpong sumpong lang unlike before i changed oil malambot siya.

So for many years my trusted mechanic just put gear oil on my tranny

Sir paki monitor ang fuel consumption po nyo kung ano ang kaibahan kapag 15W40 ang oil sa tranny compare to gear oil.

ok lang ba ang thuban gl4 sa transmission natin? gl5 kasi nakasulat sa manual kaso ang hirap maghanap ng gl5, panay gl4 lang ang available sa mga auto supply.

Crosswind 2011, A/T. Sabi ng manual 6.5L for transmission oil. Ng nag drain, mga 2Liters lang. Tapos na salinan ng mga 3L ang transmission, ayus sobrang taas sa dipstick. So bakit ganun, di accurate ang nasa manual? Typo ba yun? ;(

Sabi mechanic may filter din daw sa transmission. Hanap pa ako ng parts para mapalitan na rin. May alam kung magkano yun?

salamat. so I ended up flushing old with new kasi napadami ang lagay (3Liters+). Dapat mga 2L lang after draining.

at di kelangan palitan ang filter (actually drain lang sya). Linis lang ng drain kasama sa ATF change.

ang tanging rason na nakikita ko kung bakit engine oil (sae 15w40, sae 30 or 40) ang recommended ng isuzu for its transmission are the clearances between mating/moving parts esp. sa synchronizers. siguro mas maliit ang clearances unlike others.

may isang case ng isang sasakyan sa aking work dati (another brand of vehicle), parating naninikit sa anumang gear but usually sa 4th gear. ayaw na lumabas from 4th and so on. sa tingin ko sobrang lapot ang oil nya at "nastuck" yung oil in between the synchro parts preventing movement.

I've been driving Automatic Transmission for a long time but never-ever put regular/engine oil inside for Automatic transmission (4 quart for small car and more for bigger). There is special additives for the transmission and therefore I would not recommend unless specifically says so in the service manual.
as for diesel engine used designated for diesel only not regular oil made for GAS Engine, and the differential gear is 95W.

Applicable lang yung engine oil sa tranny ng Crosswind M/T. Yung A/T ay talagang ATF ang requirement. I've been using this ATF on my Crosswind A/T XTO for 12 years already at wala akong issue.
