November 1st, 2010 12:43 PM #521Yup.. Bumper ng alterra Fiber Glass lang ata pero matibay ang body.. Last April or May din.. Binunggo ng forward Alterra ko sa bandang likuran sa may driver's side.. Utol ko nagda-drive.. Believe mga bystanders kasi di man lang daw tumilapon yung oto or umikot.. Hehehe.. What the heck, Kinakargahan ko pa nga ng 6 na sakong bigas o 6 na sakong asukal eh pero tindig pa din..
2 years na Terry ko pero ayos pa din.. Parang wala pang nagbago.. 60k na Odomerter ko..
Average Fuel Comsumption ko combined H-way and City Driving 10.2km/L..at average speed 60-140kph..

November 2nd, 2010 10:49 AM #522To Benzmizer:
First time for me to post a message to this site. Mine is Alterra 2009 Model M/T.
Recently, I was informed by the service shop that my front shock absorbers (left and right) are leaking and need replacement.
I was greatly surprised why sira kaagad ang shocks ko, when the unit is used for city driving only and never been exposed to offroad or severe road condition. The odometer reading is 20K kms pa lang.
Is this normal? I find this alarming, shock absorbers on SUVs should be very strong enough to withstand offroad conditions, right?
Appreciate your comments/advise on this.
Thank you.

Hello. Welcome to tsikot forums!
I have heard from some of my friends who has an Alterra who had encountered the same as yours.
Do not replace or do any modifications. Bring it to the nearest ISUZU dealer and let them evaluate. Considering the low mileage and route you have stated, that is unusual.... thus, should be under warranty.

November 3rd, 2010 12:28 AM #524Benzmizer,
Thanks a lot for the quick reply.
Yeah, I have already coordinated with Isuzu Davao and are preparing for the documentation for head office approval for the replacement of the parts under warranty.
Kind regards....

Sir Rdboy,
My 2005 Alterra did undergo the addition of the oilcatcher when I had it for PM in Pampnga. It is for free and eversince I had no problem on my teri. I usually travel from Subic to Manila and often go to Baguio and happy to say that Teri doesnt dissapoint you in long distance driving. Just do regular PM every 5,000kms. and for sure your Alterra will last for a long, long time.
Merry Christmas to all CIA and all Tsikoteers!!!

Yes covered sya ng insurance sad to say it was insured about P1,080,000.00 but claimed only P959K due to depreciation daw at FAIR MARKET VALUE.

December 14th, 2010 09:01 PM #530Mga kabayan,
I have a 2009 Alterra.
Napapansin ko sa alterra na parang pigil ang hataw nya when it reaches the speed of 100 pataas. The present km reading nya is 22k. From 0 to 99, smooth man ang hataw, pati ang andar ng makina. But by the time mag 100 na sya pataas, hindi na suave or smooth ang hataw, parang nahirapan ang makina.
Any comments or advise on what to do with this, pleasseeeee...
