hehehhe. loko.
, but pwede rin pare. lol.
but in my opinion, i think theirs a problem with the unit..most towed cars don't use flatbed towtruck to tow a car without a driver, but seriously, i really pitty owners of this model.
like si sir starexgold:... he was quiet happy with his ride, and no problem occuring until recently. sir, i hope all goes well with your unit. once you get it back, benta ninyo na yan.

2003 model yun trooper ko, maybe just the sensors lang ipacheck or palitan just to be safe... and yeah gagasto ka nga but as per experience when we changed the sensors and stuff the engine was better perfooming and sounds good also...
hindi naman every PMS, yun sinunod ko lang is the every 20,000kms na PMS but kung hindi pa umabot sa 20,000kms, change oil lang, 2 filters (orig), 1 fuel filter, 8 liters of oil.. hehehehe.... it would set you back around 4,000 guro just for the chage oil... pwede naman you could use replacement oil filters para cheaper but i woudl recommend the oil be original...

November 7th, 2008 07:48 PM #23Hi guys, Im a newbie here. Just came across this site and perhaps have read all threads about the trooper. Honestly I have totally no idea about the 4Jx1 problem
, I just bought mine from my sister in law almost 2 years ago, but so far have not encountered any engine problem.
But Im really worried upon reading all this topics about 4Jx1...Kaya I thought of selling my trooper though my heart says no..

You really should get rid of it.
Though at the back of your head, iniisip mo, kawawa naman yung makakabili, i should just burn this thing to ashes...

Suggestion lang po mga fellow (and ex) 4jx1 engine trooper owners. Pwede po ba naten i-survey kung aling year model ng X1 engines ang dapat ilagan/iwasan. So far, i've been reading the threads, mukhang yung skyroof ('03 models up) ang may notoriety of being a lemon. What about the lower year models like '99-'02 which also has x1 engines? I own a '99 M/T 4X4 with 160k+ mileage. So far wala naman major problem except lately eh fluctuating yung temp lalo na pag binigla yung acceleration. AFAIK euro 3 yung '03 models up, euro 2 naman yung older models. Baka pwede po naten ianalyze for the benefit of everybody:bokmal:. Your inputs please. Thanks peeps.

November 8th, 2008 03:50 PM #27Sabagay... somewhere at 52,700 kms lang yung Trooper namin. Araw-araw ito ginagamit QC-Valenzuela and back. Pambihira lang ang out of town trips. Pero at 6 years old...mabuti talaga ang Panginoon sa amin. Habang nandito pa ito sa amin, it will take forever to reach even the 150,000kms mark. Pero commendable yung chassis at materials dito, I think just about everyone can agree on this. Isa lang yung problema ngayon, maingay ang brakes sa likod esp. pag mahina lang ang tinapak at sa low speed. Kahit pinalitan na ang brakes, after some time bumalik nanaman. Anyone here who encountered this?

November 8th, 2008 04:56 PM #30D kaya yung '03 models & up yung may problema? because mine is '02 4x2 LS model w/0 sunroof, now 120,000+ sa ODO but never experienced any problem sa engine..
Considering hindi ako specific sa type ng oil, basta't dinadala ko lang sa Petron every 3 months then use the Trekker oil for diesel (advise ng mekaniko), never pa nga ako nag palit ng fuel filter, nabili ko yun trooper ko last Dec 06, I guess im lucky.
