February 8th, 2006 11:53 AM #24Hi guys! I just recently joined tsikot and i hope you won't mind if i join your group. I have a 99 local 3.1 trooper with almost 130,000 km on the clock. I'm really impressed with the overall durability of this vehicle, engine and all. It's still smokeless even when cold and the suspension is as solid as ever. I'm just a little annoyed with the aircon system because whenever i find it too cold and i try to turn up the thermostat, the heater comes in. Do you have any solutions/suggestions short of turning off the aircon temporarily? Thanks in advance.

hi Ryan,
Welcome to Tsikot. You're very much welcome to join I-VEA group. Hope you can make it in our next EB.
I think you have exactly the same model with Niwde, a member of IVEA and Tsikot. We share the same engine and everything except for the body since I have the local 98 model.
In my vehicle, the heater kicks in at more than halfway the thermostat control. If you want to turn the aircon temporarily and just use fan, Just press the AC button.
HTH.
Welcome

same as djerms. sagad yung a/c thermostat ko then press yung ac switch pag medyo malamig na(lalo na sa gabi). yan din yung recomendation ng AC technician ko which is my friend. medyo hassle lang talaga design ng aircon natin unlike sa pajero. pero i am thinking of removing the fuse for the ceramic heater in the fuse box. i let you know kung ano mangyayari. you can even try it ahead of me.

Ako naman advantage sakin ang may heater. Lamigin kasi akong tao eh. I use it everytime I go up to Baguio or Tagaytay...
As Niwde said, just press the AC switch if you want to trun the AC off.

128trooper,
You changed your tranny from manual to automatic? Where you able to install the computer box? I think japanese 4Jg2 are equipped with electronic injection pumps with cableless accelerator (electronic). So if you installed auto tranny from a jap 4jg2 you also have to install the sensors and computer box or even also install the injection pump to match them all.
We are inviting you on our Isuzu members meeting on Feb 26 4pm at the Chowking Parking. A lot of members might give light to your problem. Hope to see you.

thanks for the reply..yup i installed the comp box...pag wala yun ayaw nya mag shift, i also installed the top portion of the injection pump, ksi d pwede pag un jap version na injection pump, belt driven un...un lokal gear..i think..=)
thats why kinahoy lang namin yun top portion nya..andun yun sensor..
pare san chowking? mdyo maraming chowking sa metro manila..hehehe
thanks very much
ang sbi nung mekaniko d raw pdeng mahigpit yun tranny cable, so ang pnag kakalikot namin is yung tranny cable, accelerator cable and yung sensor na nag d-down shift pag bigla mo inapakan yung accelerator...actually d naman ganun kasama yun shifting nya...
